Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how App Wise Softwares ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our applications, including PDF Canvas (package name: com.appwise.allpdfproblems), and our website. We build products to be private by default, and this policy is written to be read — not just published.
The short version: your documents belong to you. PDF Canvas processes your files locally on your device. We do not upload, read, store, or sell your documents — they never reach our servers.
1. Your documents stay on your device
PDF Canvas is built offline-first. All document viewing, editing, organizing, merging, splitting, and scanning happens locally on your device. We do not transmit your files, their contents, or their metadata to App Wise Softwares or to any third party.
2. Information we do not collect
- The contents of your PDFs or any other files you open or create
- Your contacts, messages, call logs, or location
- Your browsing history or activity in other apps
3. Information that may be processed
A limited amount of information may be processed to keep our apps working reliably:
- Purchase information. If you buy a subscription or one-time upgrade, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation that a purchase is active, but we never see or store your card or payment details.
- Diagnostics and crash data. Google Play services may report anonymized crash logs and basic device diagnostics (device model, OS version, app version) so we can find and fix bugs. This data does not include your documents.
4. Permissions we request and why
- Storage / media access — required to open, save, and organize the PDF files you choose. Used only when you pick or save a file.
- Camera — used only when you choose Scan to PDF. Captured images are converted to PDF locally and are never uploaded.
We request the minimum permissions needed for each feature, and only at the moment you use that feature.
5. Third-party services
Our apps are distributed through Google Play and rely on Google Play services for core platform functionality and billing. Google's handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because your documents never leave your device, deleting the app removes all app data from your device. Purchase records are retained by Google Play in accordance with their policies. If you have contacted us by email, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
7. Children's privacy
Our products are general-audience productivity tools and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Keeping processing on-device is our strongest security measure — data that is never collected cannot be leaked. Where any data is processed (such as support emails), we restrict access to the team members who need it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes. Continued use of our products after a change means you accept the updated policy.
